For this project we had to do three main things. Number one: make three instruments a wind instrument, a string instrument and an chime instrument. Number two: they all had to be able to play seven notes. A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. Number three: write a song to go with the instruments. For our wind instrument we built a flute made out of pvc pipe. the way we made it was by drilling holes in pacific places so that it would open were the wavelength would make a note. for our string instrument we build a guitar. the way we built it was by getting two pieces of wood for the base. one thin and long and the other short and big. then we attached guitar strings. for the chime instrument we made metal chimes. the way we did this was by first getting copper tubbing and cutting it to correct size. then we made a contraption to suspend them in the air.
Reflection: This project was definitely a harder one compared to the rest. The hard part was actually building the instruments not planning how to. I really learned a lot about how waves work and how instruments in general work. I also learned that everything is a lot easier in theory than it is in real life. one thing I would have changed about this project was the amour of the amour of time we actually spent on it. I learned a lot and had a fun time doing it.
